Artist Statement

Throughout my life, I have learned what it’s like to have a true friendship and what it’s like to have a truly horrible one. Female friendships are some of the most important relationships in a woman's life. You help each other understand what it means to be a woman and learn how to navigate life. Unfortunately, women can also be horrible to each other. In my photo series, I explore the rich spectrum of emotions that define female relationships, from building each other up to tearing each other down. My hope for this series is to bring light to the fact that as women we are better together.
